Newbie: Does a new user land first at the wordpress user profile page?

I am evaluating memberwing-X having carefully read the manual and now installed the plug-in.

I have two questions....

1) When I registered as a new user

a) I got the "Wordpress" login screen rather than anything that suggested it was a login to my membership site

b) After putting in a username and password, The first page I landed at was the Wordpress user profile page with absolutely no customisation again. (And no obvious route to the page I started at on the site.

Is this correct. It seems rather "clunky" or am I missing some smart flash customisation that allows me to look as if I am a single site rather than merely adding a Wordpress user?

2) Is there any way to see which users have downloaded which files or read which articles/posts

Having had no answer in 2 weeks I am giving up with this product and trying other wordpress membership plug ins. Very disappointing support
