Thread: login security

  1. #1

    Question login security

I want users to have to login to see anything past the main page and the registration page. I am not clear how I limit users once they have paid for membership and how I keep non-members from accessing pages with paid materials. I have read the docs and perhaps I missed something but securing pages is not clear in the docs (to me.)

Any clarification would be appreciated. I am holding off on purchasing until I figure these issues out. I have several clients that are looking for this type of technology so I am excited to get this working.

    thank you.

To protect premium page or post is as simple as inserting premium marker in the content somewhere on top of page, such as:
{{{gold}}}. Once inserted only people who purchased product named "gold membership" will be able to access content below this marker.

Here's demo video to show how to convert plain website to premium membership site in less than 3 minutes:

There are more information in these tutorials and as well in MemberWing PDF manual.

So do I use the WP login meta or do you have a login page as part of memberwing?

Any wordpress login plugin or wordpress native login screen will do.
MemberWing does not generate any custom login forms.

    Default page subscription

    Gleb,
I am using the WP login. Solved that issue. Now I want to lock down pages for membership subscribers only. I went into pages and on, for instance, blog page I added {{{membership}}} in the content area. Under member wing products page I have a product membership. With no login I can access blog and with a test user (haven't bought product yet on paypal) logged in I can access blog. What did I miss in the setup? I have this site set up on a test server at test site.

Make sure test user is not admin.

Send me by email admin login credentials and premium page URL in question and I'll check it out.
